Introduction

Gigi is a fun-loving black & white 19" girl who has made herself at home in our family. She loves to play, especially with her brother "Oliver", Bondir's Hardiess Connexion, and her cousin "Gertie", Bondir's Irrepressible Gertie. Gigi was whelped on January 9, 2001 and is named for the musical "Gigi" -- both of Cally's puppies were named after musicals to fit "Cally's" (Ch Cascadian Caliner de Bondir A/C CD, AGI, NA, NAJ, NAP, ADC, TT) singing style. Eyes re-ACVO'd Normal May 2007, May 2006 & May 2005, (Previously Re-CERF'd Normal 2002, 2003, 2004).

Hips OFA Good (at 60 months).

Elbows OFA Normal (at 60 months)

Show & Activity Updates

Gigi has been shown only occasionally at all-breed shows in the United States -- she has 2 Reserve Winner's Bitch wins to majors (from the 4 shows).

the most recent of these was a RWB to a 5 point major (entry of 34 bitches) from the Bred by Exhibitor class at the Monroe Kennel Club show, Monroe Michigan, October 1, 2005. These shows were held in conjunction with the IESSC Symposium; judge was British English Springer Spaniel breeder Ray Smith (Melverly).

Gigi completed her Canadian Championship on Friday November 5, 2004 at the Red Deer & District Kennel Club shows by going Winner's Bitch/Best of Opposite Sex under Dr. Alvin Krause owner/breeder handled by Lynn. Her new champion picture is shown on her picture page & (in a smaller version) below. Coincidentally Gigi finished under the same judge that her father "Baxter", A/C Ch Bondir's Braveheart, finished his American Championship under.

The Road to her Canadian Championship:

	Winner's Bitch/Best of Opposite Sex at Red Deer & District Kennel Club Show for 2 points under judge Dr. Alvin Krause.
	Gigi went 3rd in the Open Bitch class at the English Springer Spaniel Club of Canada National Specialty show under Swedish judge Dr. Goran Bodegard.
	April 2004 Winner's Bitch/Best of Breed at the Edmonton Kennel Club Show for 2 more points under judge Ainslie Mills (British Columbia)
	November 2003 Winner's Bitch at Calgary Kennel & Obedience Club Show
	April 2003 Winner's Female/Best of Breed/Group 4th at the Edmonton Kennel Club Show (Judge: Mrs. Paula Heikkinen-Lehkonen, Finland) for a 5 point win towards her Canadian Championship (shown by breeder/owner Barb)
	October 2002 Reserve Winner's Bitch at the WRESSAA Specialty (from the Bred-by Exhibitor class); judge Richard Chashoudian.

Gigi has completed Puppy classes & three sets of Obedience classes (the most recent in May of 2006 where she was awarded Best Working Dog in the class). In February 2006 she obtained the first leg of her Pre-Novice Companion Dog title.

Gigi has completed five sets of Agility classes. We are looking forward to late summer agility trials. (Back)
